The Week Junior Show takes you behind the scenes of the award-winning magazine for 8 to 14-year-olds. Every episode members of The Week Junior team talk about the top stories that have made it into the upcoming issue of The Week Junior. If you haven't had a listen yet make sure you and your students tune in to find out what fascinating facts our editors and writers have learnt this week, what their favourite story is, and their thoughts on the week's Big Debate.
This year we are on a mission to get more young people involved in the podcast. We want to hear their opinions, thoughts and views on the Big Debate each week - find out how your school can get involved below.
Get involved
It’s easy for your pupils to be a part of the podcast – just follow the instructions below and each child who participates will receive a Roving Reporter badge.
- Take a look at the week’s Big Debate with your class (you’ll find it on page 8)
- Encourage your pupils to formulate a clear argument taking a for or against position (you could try using PEEL - Point, Explanation, Example, Link - find out more here)
- Choose a representative for your class (or two if you have arguments for both sides)
- Record each representative setting out their argument (please be succinct!)
- Email the recording to us at hello@theweekjunior.co.uk
We will try and feature as many as we can each week so make sure you tune in!
